The unique thing about this company is that they are among the very few names in the robotics industry to handle high-payload industrial robotic applications with actual working models in production and working for various industries.

The Problem with The Existing Website
Contoro Robotics had a working website and that was just about it because there were a lot of problems with the existing website of this reputable brand.
Here are a few major problems we noticed outright during the evaluation and consultation process.
Poor Brand Messaging
One of the primary problems we noticed with the original website was its lack of proper brand projection.
If you visit the older website then the first thing that would come into view would be a banner with an H1 that does not really say what the company does.
If you follow the web design then you are going to find the design being all over the place with no synergy or no theme that follows robotics.
The descriptions do contain information about what the company does but the H2s do not really do justice to everything that this brand does.
Bad Mobile Responsiveness
The second thing we had to check was mobile speed performance as well as responsiveness performance, speed index as well as cumulative layout shift of the website in mobile view.
As you can see the performance is not something ideal and while we understand that the website was created during a time when mobile view was not really the priority.
However, the equations regarding the importance of mobile responsiveness have changed now and this is something that we needed to prioritise during our redesign.

We also heavily rely on icons for minimalism and easy navigation but we could not find content organisation in the way we know is the most effective.
While the existing content got the job, barely we might add, it was simply not proper for a brand like this to compromise with such a subpar solution.
Our Comprehensive Web Redesign Solution for Contoro Robotics
Planning
The first stage of the redesign process was a complete assessment of the website with the help of a diverse selection of open-source, paid and proprietary analytics and heatmap tools.
This ensured us a good baseline to build on a plan that would ensure the best kind of performance as well as the best kind of feature set and appearance for the website.
In our quest to understand the behaviour of the audience, we heavily utilised heatmap data in order to understand the areas that need more focus and the areas that might do better with a little bit of minimalism and space.
This is also the stage where we maintained close coordination with our clients in order to ensure that our plans will always take shape with the approval of the client.
It was agreed that the best approach would be to utilise Sage the Advanced WordPress starter theme with Tailwind CSS and Laravel Blade in order to create this modern high-performance website.
This would ensure our developers to exercise their expertise in Laravel and also bring to reality the appearance aspect of the website with the help of efficient theme templating.
Wireframe Design
This was followed by a Figma-based wireframe design where we utilised the collective data accumulated through heatmap analysis as well as other factors in order to create a skeleton that would perfectly complement this new website.

Designing

If you scroll down to nearly the bottom of the homepage then that is where you can find we have organised the specifics of the company and its products into individual tabs that showcase benefits, specifications and even the business model.
This is a far cry from the older layout which simply did not have this section.
This was one of the pitfalls of the older design as while it addressed some important points about the brand and its benefits but it was simply taking up too much space and was just not organised enough and required the visitors to scroll a lot for little information.
The technology page was also revamped with a modern minimalist banner that simply told what the website was about and what the page was about along with the exception to showcase the product.
In addition to that, we also transformed and updated the technology section of the page in order to highlight each of the technology utilised by Contoro Robotics.
If you observe closely then you can see very liberal utilisation of white space and that is what the heatmap suggested to us because visitors were simply not able to process too much information jumbled together without clear demarcations.
Let us now focus on yet another area of the website which is actually quite important. We are especially happy to present the company page which is just beautifully designed to showcase information along with the passion of the brand.
We always believe in the idea that people make brands and not the other way around and that is why we wanted to keep the people behind Contoro Robotics at the centre stage of the website.
That is exactly what we did on the About page of the website where we ensured 33% of the page real estate would be dedicated to the people running this incredible brand.
Continuing with the theme of keeping the people at the centre of the brand, we continued doing the same on the careers page where we highlighted the existing team and how prospective people can also be a part of this team.
This is followed by a section where we showcase the workspace along with the most important ideas and morals of the brand in separate distinct tabs.

Development
Having created a design that is going to work perfectly with the company, it was now time for the development stage of the process.
This is where we always have the most fun because we get to transform all the designs into a working reality.
You already know by now our utilisation of Sage for WordPress and how incredible it is for theming purposes and Laravel implementation. This is one of the most modernised WordPress architectures out there developed by Roots.
Let us talk about a few more important components that help turn this website into a reality, the first one being Tailwind CSS.
Since we had the intention of modernising the website, that meant we had to ensure the best kind of animation support for all the different elements and components.
We decided to go with GreenSock Animation Platform (GSAP) for this with its incredible suite of tools.
Thus, we continued the development process in close coordination with the client in order to ensure they were happy with every design choice and every implementation.

We designed this website with product showcasing in mind and that is exactly what you will see with video integration in multiple areas of the homepage starting from the banner itself.
If you move down the page then you are going to be led to yet another product-focus area which is the most important aspect of the website.
This is followed by yet another section where we showcase the operations of the robots through specially optimised videos that do not buffer and do not lag.
The theme of video implementation is continued throughout the homepage and the website and you can even find it at the very end of the website.
We not only ensured the website looks good but also performs in the best way possible and you can see that in the performance stats.
In addition to website speed performance and best practices, we also ensured the best levels of SEO implementation that ensure organic brand authority across the interwebs.
